Got Eggs?

Early last Fall we aquired 14 chickens. It has was fun enjoying great farm-fresh, brown, white and even green eggs. As the Fall and then Winter came upon us the chickens slowed down in their production. We were wondering if time and $ spent on supplies was worth the 2-3 eggs we were getting a week. But then something great happened. Cleaning out the coop on a more regular basis and the Spring weather made the chickens kick it into gear! Instead of getting 10 eggs every 2-3 weeks, we are getting 10 eggs a day! Anyone have any great egg recipes? We have almost exhausted scrambled, fried, hard boiled, and poached. It has been a great experience for Audrey (in charge of the chickens) to learn how to take care of them and see the fruits of her labor. We will be sad to say goodbye to the chickens (Audrey has named them all) when we move. They will be going to a neighbor. We hope to get some chicks when we get to Seattle so we can keep playing Old MacDonald.

"O" Man

I haven't done a post about Oliver lately, so I thought it was about time. He doesn't like his picture taken these days (typical teenager), so I thought I'd photograph some of his latest artwork to share.

Oliver has been trying to get his band going. So far it's just him and his guitar, but he's enjoying learning to play. Check out his band page and music... (My favorite is the last song on the player)

"And the crowd roared!" (all 8 of us!)

Go Scranton-Wilkes Barre Yankees! It was a Wednesday night and we all went out for a fun night of rookie baseball. As you can see we had the whole (nosebleed) section to ourselves. But hey, we got 2 balls!

THE MANY FACES OF NATTY

Natty turned 2 last week and we had a fun puppy party at home. She loved every minute, being surrounded by the chaos of cousins! We love you, Bratty Natty!

Wait, is that Tim wearing a Mariner's hat!?!

Shhhh, don't tell or spread the word, but Tim just set foot in a Mariner's store and purchased a Mariner hat and t shirt! He even cheered "Mojo Risin!'" while going to his first Opening Day at Safeco Field! Could he really become Mariner's fan? ONLY when the Yankees aren't in town! Becky and I flew to Seattle to meet up with him, go househunting and take in some Seattle fun last week.

The Winds of March

Time to play catch up...St. Patty's, Easter, and everything before and after! I think the March wind came in so quickly and took me away. The month flew by! Here's some highlights...St. Patty's Day parade in Scranton (brrrrr...one cold day! It's Spring? Could have fooled me!)I was a little slow being the parade photographer. Yes, I ran to get at least one shot of the cool bagpipers after they had passed us!Yearly Easter egg hunt and Nana and Grandpa's. Almost all of our PA cousins.
The traditional before church Easter Picture.

The girly girls tea party..what's a tea party without a teddy bear in his own seat?
