About 31/2 years ago our family had a big debate. Yankees or Mariners? I came from Seattle and was a minor Mariner fan. Tim from the big apple was a die hard Yankee fan. When we combined our families, we all went to a Yankee/Mariner game at Yankee stadium. Oliver, dressed in his Mariner attire was made fun of by Tim, Vanessa and Becky, as well as a few fans in the stadium. But, I stood beside him and rooted for the Mariners too. Well, as we all know life brings many changes, and we are about to embark on a big one. Tim has accepted a new job in Seattle and we will be moving there this summer. We are excited and looking forward to a new adventure. We all have mixed feelings about leaving our home in Pennsylvania though. So the question is...will Tim convert to a Mariner? NEVER! I guess it will be him in his Yankee hat at Safeco field cheering on his team. Well, that's not so true. The little girls are Yankee converts and I have a feeling that will always be the case, wherever we go. Some of us were in Seattle recently. Our next post will include pictures from our trip.

While I am looking forward toward our relocations to Seattle, let's keep a few things in perspective; #1 you cannot compare the New York Yankees to that Seattle team. If I were to compare them to any Yankee team it would have to be the Scranton/Wilkes Barre Yankees; #2 I am looking forward to watching the Giants & Packers whoop up on the Seahawks when they come to town. #3 After many years of waiting for the Knicks to "right the ship" which has not happened since the Ewing years, I may be looking for a new NBA team to follow but it won't be the Sonics! Trail Blazers maybe Sonics no. #4 What's up with Seattle not having a hockey team? #5 Does Washington have any college football team worth watching?
Congratulations, you guys! I look forward to hearing more about your adventures. And nice online sparring as well. --As you know, I am quite partial to that method of conflict resolution ;)
YANKEES..........and we are even in the NW!!!! We are going to a Yankee/Mariner game this summer ( early fall)
