The next best thing

Here we are in Seattle now and it's baseball season. Should we stay inside and pout, wondering what it would be like to watch the Yankees in their new stadium? What's the use in crying when we now have the Mariner's to watch!? I know, Tim, it's not the same as the Yankees. However, you told me you will be rooting for the Mariners as long as the Yanks aren't in town. (By the way, he already has tickets for that game!)

Tim must have a little Mariner fever and got tickets for several games this season. Last Wednesday we went to our first one! It was Audrey, Celeste, Sophia, and Natty's first time at Safeco field. In celebration, customer service gave us all sorts of free stuff...baseball cards, pennants, and even a t-shirt for Tim and I. Mine says, "#1 Dad" on the back. I guess they had a lot of left over size medium father's day shirts! The girls got hats so they will be ready for rest of the season when they get their daddy/daughter dates at the ballpark! It was a little chilly that night, and Sophia is sporting her double hat look.Go Mariners!

Nice tongue Becky!

My first baseball hat!

It was fun to celebrate the return of Ken Griffey Jr. to the Mariners. We also enjoyed having Tim's co-worker, Dimitri with us. What a great first game...2 home runs, 1 grand slam (Mariners 11, Angels 3).

Natty's birthday interview

I know these videos can get a little boring...but it really gives a snapshot of Natty's life. I mean you're only 3 once, right?!

Make a wish

They Say it's my birthday! I was willing to share some of my cake. I figured I couldn't eat the whole thing. What a fun day...seeing the animals at the zoo, being sung to at Red Robin, and home for my big "bu' fie" cake . I got lots of presents, but my favorate was "bu' po" (butterfly pillow) that Audrey made for me. We went to the store and I picked out my favorite fabric. But I didn't know at the time it would turn into a pillow! How did that happen?! The camera girl felt a little sideways today...don't get a crick in your neck while watching! I Couldn't get 2 videos up on this post. I'll try for another next post...

Lions and Tigers and bears (and bunny's), oh my! Happy birthday Natty!

Happy Birthday Natty! It's hard to believe our baby is 3! All she wanted for Christmas was her cousin, Sacia. All she wanted for her birthday was (again) her cousin, Sacia. So Sacia she got and a day at the zoo! These two are so cute together!Natty's birthday always falls around Easter. We learned that the Woodland Park Zoo was having it's annual "Bunny Bounce" with all sorts of fun activities, including an Easter Egg Hunt. Natty is ready to go with sisters in tow.Standing in line wasn't too bad for these two...they were happy just to dance around to keep warm. Look at all my eggs!Natty wasn't too crazy about the carousal. Sacia was an old pro, but Natty felt a little more secure with feet on ground. It didn't help that her horse needed some WD40. It was a bumpy ride."Do I have to?"Petting a bunny with dad!Audrey and Celeste in a bunny bounce race.
Sophia found a friend. What a great day! More birthday cake in the next post...

Twin cousins

Spring Break snuck up on us...what to do, what to do? We called up Stephanie and Steve and asked them in they wouldn't mind an invasion for a day. They were the most gracious hosts, even to have us in the middle of a school week (it's wasn't Spring Break in Tualatin, OR). So Audrey, Celeste, Sophia, Natty, and I jumped in the car and headed South. Dad, Becky and puppy Bella held the fort down while we were gone.
How much fun can you pack into one day? If it could be done...we did it...
We began by surprizing Brook and Kate at school, and wisked them out of school early for a day of cousin fun! Then we went back home for a bite of yummy lunch wraps. Time for a little "pick me up" as we indulged in every girl's best friend, CHOCOLATE at Sees Candy! Then off to Safari Sams (family fun place). We figured it had been at least 6 years since we'd been there. It was just as much fun this time as before!
Piggyback ride with my big sis! Next on the list was flip flop shopping! Each cousin got matching flip flops with their "twin"...

The tweens (11) stylin' in their plaid flip flops! It's great to be 8, Celeste and Kate!
Sweet 6 year olds, Sara and Sophia We ended the day with pizza, stephanie's oatmeal cookies, and American Idol. Whew! WE LOVE YOU STEPHANIE, STEVE, BROOKE, KATE AND SARA. Thanks for making our vacation so special!

Spring Fever!

A couple weeks ago we had a teaser day of sun and warm temps! Spring fever got the best of us and we built our garden, and planted, planted, and planted somemore. Wouldn't you know it...we got snow last night! Looks like everything stayed lively. It was a chance we took! Broccoli, lettuce, peas, beans, unions
