This is a wobbly suspension bridge we came across on our hike. Who were the biggest scaredycats?...Dad and Sophia! The rest of us did our darndest to rock the bridge when they were passing over! Tim got to scout out some possible hunting grounds and learned from the locals more about Washington's "rules and regulations". All in all...a fun weekend...something we'll keep doing every year!
A few days ago I received a package in the mail. Inside was the book, "The Chrismas Jars", by Jason Wright, with a note that said,
" I love you."
Love, Your Mom
I realized that not only do I have a fan that reads my blog, but that I have a mother who knows! I had an earlier post about "The Wednesday Letters" by the same author. I mentioned that I hadn't read his earlier book. A few days later, I get this package.
I realize all of the Worth family knows how great our mom is...but I felt that the world should know it too! I love you too, Mom.
Ok, check it out...this group (is that what you call it?) of Elk is hanging out right next to Hwy 202 near Snoqualmie, WA...just a few miles from our house. We see them almost every evening we drive by. Becky and I quickly look for the camera while a slow drip of slobber emerges from Tim's mouth. Sorry, Honey...these guys are well protected...and they know it!On Saturday, we stopped off at the mailbox to get our mail after Audrey's soccer game. Tim got out to unlock the box and grab the mail. Suddenly he dropped the mail on the ground. We laughed and teased him about dropping the mail and getting it all dirty and wet. He then proceeds to give me the mail to hold on my lap as we drive home. I look through it, hoping for something good, but I only see junk mail and bills. Oh well. And then it goes like this...
Tim: "Anything good"
Jo: "Nah, just junk and bills"
Tim: "Are you sure, what about that letter"
Jo: "Which one?"
Tim: "That one right there, the one you have in front"
Jo: "What do you mean, it's just a bill"
Tim: "Look closer"
Jo: "What are you talking about?"
Jo: "AHHHHHHHHHHHH"
A lovely little (disgusting) slug had found it's way into our mail box and slimed the mail and Tim when he took the mail out. But, knowing Tim, he coudn't just keep it to himself...he kept the yellow slimeball on the end of mail...just hidden enough so I didn't see it. Quickly the slug went flying out the window, and Tim is still suffering from a sore arm (after I punched it a few times!)
WELCOME TO SEATTLE!
